You’ll be glad you did! If you wear makeup regularly try switching brands to something lighter or simply wearing less of it each day. Choose a base or foundation that is enhanced with sunscreen so you only have to apply one product. Some makeup companies even produce products that are infused with vitamins that your skin needs to be healthy. It is not a good idea to choose your makeup because it is the cheapest brand on the shelf. Don’t cake on your makeup. You want to make “less makeup” your goal. Don’t fret; you can still look amazing without caking layers of stuff onto your face! You should also make sure to take off all of your makeup before you go to bed for the night. Leaving it on overnight is almost guaranteed to cause breakouts and acne!

Learn to relax once in a while! For a lot of us, pimples and other forms of acne are a sure sign that we are too stressed out. Try to stay calm and give yourself space to relax at least once a day. Teach yourself some simple calming exercises that you can use when your stress level starts to climb. If your daily life is filled with high levels of stress you should consider changing your lifestyle. When you let yourself relax you should find that your acne gets better (as does your overall outlook on life)!

Treat your acne in whatever way works best for you. You might be able to use a simple mask made of natural ingredients while someone else might need something so strong they need a prescription from their doctor to use it. You might even be one of the lucky few who can cure acne breakouts with a change in diet and exercise. You might have to try a few different remedies before you find the one that works for you.
